44100 Hz OR 48000 Hz ?
Does ezdrummer 2 plugin allow a sample rate of 48000 in sonar without conflicts.
I’ve been having problems with my Quad Capture audio interface –
It keeps hanging up on me when I use it with sonar on 48000. I’ve tried everything!!
The quad still keeps crashing endlessly when used with sonar professional.
–
Because of this hanging up thing, I’m doing a few quad capture tests today in order to flush out any small problems.
I decided not to use sonar this time, and instead use just the quad and EZD2 in standalone mode.
the quad sample rate is still set at my preferred 48000 (or so it should be)
I then noticed a weird little thing happening with the sample rate in ezd2.
If i leave the quad cap control panel open on the desktop, and then open ezd2 the sample rate changes –
These are Unwanted changes happening in my quad device settings. –
Een after i turn ezd2 off .. the sample rate is switched itself from my settings of 48000 to 44.100!!
Unwanted Changes, turning my normal 48000 setup that I’ve set and loaded earlier in the quad capture.
Turning from my preferred setup sample rate of 48000 _switching to 41000.
EZD2 is automatically changing to 44100 Hz – I don’t want 44100 Hz!
Ok, so now that I’ve noticed this happening using ez2 standalone.
My question is – Will that unwanted sample rate change be switching in my sonar projects. And possibly upsetting my normal sonar projects that also happen to be using ezd2 as a plug-in?
My normal sonar projects should be set at 48000 with a buffer of 256. Not 44100 Hz
These Unwanted changes only happen when I’m using ezd2 in standalone with the quad cap, and not when using sonar. Sonar claims its loading 48000. but still crashes.
Sonar is the thing that’s crashing not ezd2. But I see ezd2 changing. The sample rate automatically when I use standalone mode.
Maybe that’s why my preferred 48000 sonar project that contain ezd2 as plug-in are crashing..
maybe it’s a sample rate conflict?
Maybe these unwanted sample rate changes are the problem when I’m using ezd2 in sonar.
I normally use sonar and then have ezd2 as a plug-in. – that’s when it crashes.
Now that I’m seeing the sample rate in EZD2 switching in standalone like this, makes me think
maybe that’s why my normal sonar 48000 projects are crashing –
Sample rates are switching around in the background when using sonar and ezd2 as a plug-in.
Does that make sense?
