I have a song recorded in 12/8 at 87bpm where I’ve added manually-created beats, made within the EZD2 interface. Now I’ve come to mixing and want to add some flourishes to the drum parts but it won’t let me add any more hits in the sections that I want to add to create fills or rolls etc. I’m pretty new to EZD2 but find the interface to be great for creating beats from the ground up so I’d rather not have to learn another way of editing the MIDI clips if at all possible.
Is this a known issue? What are my options? I’m not a drummer by trade but I’m guessing that the tempo and time signature may be the key but I’m not sure.
Can one way be to drag a part that you like to the Song Creator, and use parts from that? For example, take a fill you like, drag it to the Song Track, shorten it if you want to and place it where it should be.
