EZD2 or Superior 2+?

I use studio one 2 pro.. I will ALWAYS want to make very specific adjustments to drums like.. specific rolls or beats right on where and when I want them to make parts unique. Ive watched many tutorials of sd2 being run through studio one 2 pro and using the midi I can make it however I want. Can this be done in ezd2? Or.. do I have to stick with making the beats in ezd2 and importing them into my studio one 2 DAW? Within creating beats in ezd2.. can I actually add and take away hits and such in any spot? Or am I limited to what you can do by letting it add the extra beats in itself? What I make of it is… In ezd2.. I have to export as a wav file already created and then add it to the daw as a track. What if I want all of the instruments on a separate track in my DAW?

I want to buy either studio one or ezd2 now.. I just cannot find the answers so easily that I need to know before I purchase something I will regret.

If you want to make very specific adjustment to a drum groove, like adjust the velocity of a specific hit or move the timing of the same then you will need to do that in your host. Don’t get me wrong, you can still do this in EZdrummer 2 by cutting up a beat in smaller parts but at some point you will probably feel that your host is more efficient in doing this. EZdrummer 2 is designed to emulate the communication that you would have with your IRL drummer. You seldom go in and tell him exactly what and how to to hit a specific drum. You are usually more concerned with the general feel or energy of a track. This is what we focused on. It should be very easy to get really close to the end result. Then when you go into a studio you can fine tune the playing.

Ahh Thanks… What it is I am doing.. is the whole studio from home thing and trying to do it all without using amps and micing. I think a lot of peoples stuff recently sounds good enough to just do it that way. So I believe buying the sd 2 was what I am really after. I bought it earlier.. sent it right through my daw multichanneled without any problems.. I do like how the grooves are made so you can throw down that basic template and work from that, Instead of having to come up with it all on my own. All I end up doing is having to switch stuff around a little.. add fx to the busses and wallah.. sounds great! So easy.
