EZD2 Mixer: Drummer versus Audience perspective?

I’m finalizing a mix and am wondering about the drummer versus audience perspective option in the mixer. I like creating a realistic sound stage, so I think I’d prefer audience perspective. I see some of the panning shift when you switch back and forth. Is it just “flipped”? What is most commonly used?
