I use EZD2 and I have found that once in a while when I drag a groove from the song track in EZD2 to a track in my DAW (Pro Tools 11.3), an additional bar of silence is added.
Here’s the groove in question in both places. It is a 4-bar groove (not something I shortened). When I drag it it becomes 5.

Has anyone else run into this?
Hi,
yes I have seen it too at times when working with Pro Tools and I think it just has to do with how Pro Tools interprets the end of the MIDI file in conjunction with the last note off.
I don’t think other hosts suffer from this.

Thanks, John. It only happens with certain clips and always happens with those clips.
Is it Toontrack MIDI? If so, are you updated? I’m not saying it will fix it but it may…

Yes, it’s from the Hip-Hop EZX. And according to the Toontrack Product Manager interface “All installed products are up to date.”
It happened with another clip recently; I think that was from “The Classic” MIDI.
It’s not a huge concern as long as I pay close attention when dragging into PT. It’s just weird when it happens. Luckily I’m pretty OCD when it comes to checking everything.
Thanks for weighing in.
