EZd 2 “Preset Sets Routing”

Anyone knows what the “Preset Sets Routing” under user Presets is for ?

Yeah they are producer type mix presets of drum mixes. In other words a producer has set different mixes of the EZD2 EZX’s with different amounts of compression and room reverb and such and each of them have a unique sound and style try them out!

If you have a setup where you route EZdrummer 2 mixer faders to separate hardware outputs, this can be saved with your Presets and recalled. Alternatively, you may want to load a Preset without changing the current output routing.

If you are using multiple outputs from EZdrummer 2 you have the option to use “Preset Sets Routing”, which means that when you select a new presets, the outputs will be changed to the outputs specified in the preset (specially useful if you have saved a custom preset, with special outputs). If you don’t use “Preset Sets Routing”, your output will be kept.

I can give you an example. You set your snare channel in EZdrummer 2 to output 7-8, and in your DAW you set up a channel that receives 7-8 from EZdrummer 2. Since this channel receives the snare audio, you set up special effects to treat the snare – a compressor and a reverb.

After a while you feel that you want to use another preset, and you select some other preset. If you don’t have selected “Preset Sets Routing”, the outputs won’t change, output 7-8 will still be used for the snare channel (your snare channel in your DAW will still receive the snare audio). If you had selected “Preset Sets Routing” – your snare channel’s output may have changed, meaning that your snare channel in your DAW wouldn’t receive the snare audio anymore…
