I’m not quite sure what my problem is here and looking for some help.
I was given some older Cubase projects to play about with that used EZ1 pop/rock kit (i think), and the guy had various expansions installed.
I’m trying to open the projects but get a major crash as the project opens up and tries to load my basic/non expanded EZ2.
I use Cubase 5,5 64bit on Win10.
Any idea’s?
(I thought i would be able to at least load the project with EZ2, although expected i might have to remix the earleir drums, but now i’m thinking i may need the older expansion installed? )
Thanks
Does Cubase have a resource for opening a session without plugins in an ‘Active’ state, like Pro Tools does?
Found this on Gearslutz, can it help you?:

Which plugin version is displayed in the plugin interface?

Thanks.
What actually should happen?
I mean if you have a project that uses EZ1 with an Expansion installed, but you open it up on a different PC with EZ2 without the same expansion installed?
IIRC,
EZdrummer 2 should open with the Default kit.
