I know it’s not recommended to use Drummer2 in Solo. It seem to be the only way I can get my Guitar Rig 5, and EZ Drummer2 to both work/share my sound device (ASIO TonePort UX2) in stand alone mode … (outside the DAW).
This is the issue EZ drummer2 crashes inside of Solo when I try to use the tempo option.
Also, I can’t get a power button on the percussive instruments!
Can anyone help me with this?

What does the version number in the EZdrummer 2 plugin interface say exactly?
Are you running the 32-bit or 64-bit version of Toontrack solo?
Are your Toneport drivers updated?

Regarding the power button on the Percussions Pads – they are available in the Edit Play Style area. Double click on a MIDI block on your song track to enter Edit Play Style.

John, Thanks once again for your response. I’m running; Plug-in version 2.0.2 (build9590) (64 bit VST) stand alone host version, and build is the same.
Henrik, Thanks for that.

Hi,
you need to remove some files in the ‘AppDataRoaming’ folder. This is a hidden folder but you can open the Windows Explorer and type in ‘C:UsersyourComputerUserNameHereAppData’ to access it, or click Start > Computer > Hold ALT + T to get the tools menu open > Folder Options > View > Enable “Show hidden files, folders and drives” and Untick “Hide protected operating system files”. I would prefer the first way myself.
Then please remove the following files:
MidiDB, MidiDB_fav, MidiDB-shm, MidiDB-wal (if they exist) from
“C:/Users/”CurrentUser”/AppData/Roaming/Toontrack/EZdrummer”
and
“C:/Users/”CurrentUser”/AppData/Roaming/Toontrack/EZdrummer/OnlineMIDI”

Hello, Recently I had to Re- download EZD2. Once again this problem showed up. (Crash upon trying to adj. tempo). I followed the recommendations by John (above) But to no avail this time. Every time I try to adj. tempo with the tempo button, The file adds back the previously deleted MidiDb, MidiDB ect. files and crashes
. Could anyone direct me to a fix for this problem?
Thank You,
Ron

Hi,
is this when you change Tempo in Toontrack solo or in EZdrummer 2?
64-bit or 32-bit version of Toontrack solo?
John Rammelt - Toontrack
Technical Advisor
Thanks for your quick reply John. It is limited to the solo 64 bit version.

And where do you change the Tempo? Is it the global Toontrack solo Tempo or the EZdrummer 2 Tempo?
John Rammelt - Toontrack

The one I refer to is the one located in the EZD2 interface, inside the Toontrack Solo. So it’s located below the drag-n-drop window, and between the signature, and song creator buttons.

Why are you using Toontrack Solo when EZD2 has a standalone version?
Scott Sibley - Toontrack

Hey Scott. I can’t get my sound card’s either the Line 6, or M-Audio selected with Guitar Rig5, to share with EZD2 Stand Alone. But they do, when I use the Solo App. Could very well be I’m missing something, but that has been the only way I have found (outside of going through one of my DAW’s) to be able to jam w/guitar, while monitoring drums, with EZD2.

Well,
I guess EZdrummer 2 doesn’t receive the Global Tempo sent from Toontrack solo anyway, just tried it myself (though I’m on Mac) and nothing happens.
Sorry, I’m out of ideas right now and the only other suggestion would be to contact Toontrack Support directly via the FAQ.
