I could not agree more. This would be fantastic – but I could add one other thing, time signature changes. if in the middle of a track I wanted to change the time signature I have to drop the drum track to the DAW and edit and modify it there. Songs I write often change timings.
I have both EZDrummer and Superior Drummer and I have to say that EZDrummer is by far the easiest and fastist working tool. It’s by far and away the best workflow. Leave Superior Drummer too; it’s great for Midi Drums when i connect my drum kit – so please leave that too!! Just make that window larger!!
Keep all existing functionality in EZDrummer2 and add only a Midi Editor and Time Signature changes with Larger Window for the plugin.
Best tools by far – I have EZmix too and let me tell you I have no intention of buying other plugins. Toontrack is by far and away the best audio product tool set to any DAW.
Please keep doing what you’re doing! Fantastic Product!

I am interested in seeing Punk/Pop Punk/Hardcore Punk Midi packs myself. I’ve had to settle with going through the various rock and metal packs for most of my tracks. Something specific in these genres would be sweet.Cool

I’d like bigger drum sounds myself which I’ve posted about before. I mean truly studio ready drums with a few extra options for tweaking (EQ, compression, reverb, other effects, etc.) if desired. Yes, I know Superior Drummer has these features and I own that software as well. I’m talking about making the next EZ Drummer somewhere in between the two. Basically, I would like to see EZ Drummer as it is with some more editing options, but simplified. Superior Drummer is great, but not all of us are experts on mixing drums. Thanks.

    OH yeah.

Then also StyliseAll would be great. I often use MIDI parts from different libraries and when I listen do Drum Solo, you can hear differences in playing styles and ganre used. A special function that would go over the whole song and “reStyle” all parts to reflect only one Style could save my day 🙂

Add an option for stopping Ezdrummer checking for new midi files and midi file changings in startup!! this drives me crazy.

My earnest request would be to GET RID OF THE “Also import tempo information?” BOX when dragging grooves directly into the MIDI track. I suspect it’s there to encourage use of the little tiny window, but some of us choose to work directly in the DAW’s MIDI window for editing purposes. Dragging directly into the track is a pretty direct statement that you DON’T want to import tempo info, you want to import at the tempo of your song file. Hello! … The idiot box really gums up workflow for no apparent reason. Don’t make me click a superfluous box repeatedly, i.e. every time I drag in a pattern. Or someone at Toontrack at least explain to me why it needs to be there. It appeared at some point in EZD2, although everything worked out just fine before its introduction (or intrusion, I might say).

One of the best features for the update would be a scalable interface like the new SD3. Actually, just copy the entire SD3 interface and make it into an EZ-styled one. Done and done!

Some trickle-down features in a more simplified version from SD3 would be great. Like a trimmed down selection of effects to be able to give more control over shaping the sound. Even just a couple different reverbs, compressors, and a transient shaper could go a long way in tweaking the sounds. I realize that EZD is supposed to be “plug and play,” but some expanded sound shaping abilities over EZD2 would be a welcome addition.

Also, +1 for the MIDI editor and time signature change features. The time signature change feature would be my favorite of these two features, as it would make utilizing EZD for live performances a much more attractive option.

Also, adding an easy way to assign each MIDI track to the EZD3 kits.

When I’m writing a song, I know exactly what I want the drummer to play.
He may add his own flavor to it but basically it has to be what I am hearing in my head.
I use EZD2 to create my own parts, mostly tapping them out 4-8 bars at a time.

It is frustrating to get one single hit “off” and my only option is to try all over again.
If it’s an off-time piece it just gets worse…

My request is the ability to “move” the hits (like a piano roll).
I’ve sat next to professional drummers on a DAW and while listening to their performance
they say, “I should have played a double hit there” so they add it. BOOM! Done!

ALL the needed pieces are there already in SD3 already.
Just add the one thing, not the complex mixing or really advanced stuff just the ability to move/add/delete midi notes.
Velocity adjustment would be nice (since again it already has been written) but not absolutely necessary..

Hard to believe we’re begging for something they’ve already developed and they’re telling us no…

Maybe kill EZdrummer and  release a SD3 Lite version?

And also develop a new file naming structure for the MIDI. Maybe instead of using the ugly @ in front of the Title, just separate them in Folders? That would give a nice readable structure.

Would also kill the names EZ and SD in favor for “Toontrack Drums”, TTD that would also promote the Company’s name.
