Hello, Has anyone had an issue of cymbals being cut off (not choked) in EZ Drummer. For myself when i first start EZD2 in Reaper or Standalone (happens in both) the cymbals are fine until I physically choke the cymbal on my EKit ( Simmons SD9K). The choked cymbal or input will then always output a very brief “tin can” kind of sound regardless of velocity or hit. I can only reset this by restarting either Reaper or the standalone. This has never happened with the other Virtual Instrument i have used. The Midi note doesnt change as far as I can tell.
I will be happy to provide any other details
Thank you for any response.
Hi,
do you have any kind of filtering going on in Reaper? If you record in Reaper; when you choke, can you see the AfterTouch Message taking place and then reset or is it stuck?
Which EZdrummer version number is displayed in the EZdrummer 2 interface?
Have you tried replacing the cable between your module and your MIDI interface and/or the computer?
BR,
John
