EZ Drummer 2 Custom Midi

Excuse my probably stupid question, but I’m new to EZ Drummer 2 and I would want to know if it’s posible to create the drum tracks from scratch, meaning that you work the midi track in the DAW, instead of using the song creator, which I find useful, but I think is gonna hold me back sometimes. Thanks.

Sure, EZdrummer is a fully fledged virtual instrument.
It will play any MIDI that the hosting sequencer sends to it.
E.g. you can construct the MIDI in the piano roll of your host
adding note by note or drag loops in from EZdrummer or
record from a keyboard or an e-kit. I wrote ‘or’ above but
you can mix those approaches, of course.
