Hi guys,
My OSX drive is pretty full & I’d like to install SD3 on an external drive.
When I open Product manager & try to download it, it only goes onto OSX & I get an error message saying there’s not enough space.
Any ideas?
Hi,
hit ‘Cmd+,’ or go to the ‘Toontrack Product Manager > Settings’ menu. There you can change the Download location and Move finished and paused Downloads to this new location.
SDX Libraries can be moved in the Finder with their folder structure intact and then pointed to in the SD3 Settings or the Product’s Details in the Product Manager.

Thanked by: Scott EshlemanYou can install Superior Drummer 3 (SD3) on an external drive by first downloading the software onto your Mac without the sound libraries. Then, use the Toontrack Product Manager to download the sound libraries directly onto the external drive. If SD3 still insists on installing onto the main drive, you can create a symlink to redirect the sound libraries from the main drive to the external drive. Additionally, check the download settings in Product Manager to ensure you can select the external location before starting the download.
