External ( alesis dm6) midi control not usable for tap2find?

Hi,
Just bought ez2 and enjoying it a lot.
I’ve just set up an Alesis DM6 to use as a midi inpit device, and it plays all the drums fine.
However, what I wanted to use it for doesn’t work. I want to be able to input a beat into the ‘tap2find’ feature, but although I hear the drums sounding, no midi information is showing on the midi drop zone.
Any ideas?

Just ran a couple of tests.
I’m using pro tools 11.
If I use EZ in stand alone mode, then I can input a beat in ‘tap2find’, but not if I’m using it as a plugin in pro tools, so it is obviously something to do with the way EZ interacts with PT.

Hi,

do you mean that if you have the Stereo Instrument Track with EZdrummer 2 selected and record-armed in Pro Tools, you can hit your pads and hear the drums get triggered but if you enter Tap2Find, hit your drums, then ‘Snow Results’, nothing sticks?

Which OS are you on? Which version number is displayed in the lower right corner of the plugin in Pro Tools?
