Exporting to Midi Type 1 (EZ Drummer vs Superior Drummer)

Hi Toontrack

I’m looking at purchasing either EZ Drummer or Superior Drummer, but have a question on export. Do either of the programs allow export to Midi Type 1?

I can see that EZ Drummer exports to Midi, but it looks like it is Type 0 – all the instruments are on a single track.
Is there a function in either EZ Drummer or Superior Drummer to export to Midi Type 1, with each instrument on a different track.

Hi,

short answer is ‘no’. A longer answer is; Multi-track MIDI would generally not be for exporting single articulations/drums per track but rather for exporting multi-track as in one instrument per MIDI channel, i.e. drums on MIDI channel 10, Piano on MIDI channel 1, Bass on MIDI channel 2, etc (this being examples only), which would make it unnecessary for a drum plugin.
