I’m trying to create a beat on EZDrummer, I don’t have an electric drumkit so I’m doing it all through a piano with MIDI. I’m trying to recreate the sound of a the noise when you hit the hi-hat while opening and then quickly closing again. I can’t find any way of mapping the keyboard to the degree of open-ness of the pedal. According to the layout PDF, position 44 controls the pedal, but when I press it, it maps to 21 (closed pedal). And then there is this mysterious CC4 which I don’t know what that is…
My piano has three pedals but none of them seem to trigger anything.
