Edrum Problems

I have the alesis DM6 USB Kit and I am using Acid Pro 7. I plug in the Edrums through the USB cable and my computer finds the Edrums. I play the drums and Im getting a real bad delay between hits. I tried my Edrums through Toontrck solo also. And the drums do the same delay. does anyone know whats going on and how to fix it? I set up the alesis DM6 the way the manual said to.

The delay is due to latency on your sound card. What card do you have? Does it have ASIO and if so is there a control pannel to adjust latency?
If it is inbuilt sound card then latency will be high. Search google for asio4all as this driver may be able to lower your latency on onboard sound cards.
