ED3 Crossgrade to SD3

If the crossgrade option is purchased for SD3 and ED3 is currently owned and authorized is ED3 still fully authorized and functional? I know on the SD3 video it states ED2 would still be functional but I just want to make sure ED3 will continue to be fully functional.
