I’m also curious about this.  I used to have a bottom of the line Hart Dynamics Prodigy eKit.  But it was severely limited, and didn’t have very good feel either, so I sold it.  But down the road I’d like to know what I should be looking for if I want a good eKit able to take full advantage of Superior.

It really depends on your budget….you can’t go wrong with Roland IMHO…some people swear by Yamaha however and the results that Bobby Jarzombek gets out of them is amazing….check the video at platinum samples.

Anyone have any experience with the bottom of the line Roland (HD-1)?

I’ve played one a couple of times, they’re ok but you’re limited in setup options and the bass drum pedal feels a bit weird.  Expandability is also limited.

I would go for a 2nd hand TD-3 in preference, which you’d probably pick up cheaper or around the same price as an HD-1

What are the advantages of the TD3 over the HD-1?
