Like to pick your brains on a new or used drum module in the $200 range? I’m in the process of converting my acoustic set into an e-drum (with piezo disks) and would like a module with decent built-in sounds for stand alone playing with the ability to trigger EZD kits on my computer for recording.
I was looking at the Alesis DM5, but then heard some samples from the the DTX500 on YT. Also considering the unmodified RolandTD10 but don’t know what they have for sounds. My needs are as follows:
1 snare w/ rim shot
1 bass drum
3 toms (one can be flexible for crash)
1 ride
2 crash (or flexible tom)
1 hihat with controller
Most of all I would like something that could be easily mapped to play along with Solo EZD. I assume there is a way to silence the module kits to do this???
Thanks!
