Do the MIDI patterns rely on the alias and alternate keys in the keyboard map?

I am creating some soundsets to use in notation software (primarily Sibelius,) and I don’t want to have to unnecessarily program in all the alias and alternate keys in the keyboard mapping Do the MIDI patterns in the program (and in the various MIDI packs) use the alias and alternate keys in the keyboard mapping, in which case I would have to include them?
