Thinking about purchasing Ezdrummer but I read in a review in Musiciansfriend.com the following:
“(EzDrummer) will assign a computer ID for your authorization code while you’re online and registering. Once you disable your internet connection to protect your computer, the authorization code that they give you doesn’t work “offline” You have to be online for it to work. I’ve hit the help forum for Toon Track and lots of folks have tried to help me, but there has been no solution to this issue”
Is this true? I always work off line. I never have my “Music Computer” hooked up to the internet for fear of viruses.
I will be using Sonar HS 7XL and plan on using Ezdrummer as a “soft synth”.
Any info or suggestions/work arounds would be appreciated.
My DAW is also not connected to the internet. This is not a problem since you can get the authorization codes using another computer that has access to the internet.

O.K. So I can get the authorizaton code on my home computer and the use that on my “music computer” and it should be no problem/ Correct?
Indeed. After you’ve installed EZDrummer on your DAW (Music Computer) and use the plugin in Sonar it will show the authorization screen showing the computer ID of your DAW.
You use this computer ID and the serial number on the home computer and go to toontrack.com to register EZDrummer. You’ll receive the authorization code which you can use on your DAW to complete the authorization proces.

Excellent.
I read on another post that I can load Ezdrummer on 2 computers. I have Sonar on the home computer but have only used it on my “music computer” Would it be complicated to register both computers? I’m a real noob on this stuff. I know I can not use both computers at the same time as Sonar has the same rule (2 computers but use only one at a time)
No it’s not complicated, you just register both computer ID’s at toontrack.com.
