Dear Toontrack developers.
I can’t help but notice that the newer SDX3-native expansions do a much better job in triggering E-Drum midi. When I use the right preset, I can use them without any customization or further configuration. Unfortunately, most “classic” SDX’s have a number of issues when triggering, ranging from not properly mapping midi notes, hihat issues and issues with rim/edge triggering. Fortunately I can fix most issues by adjusting the midi settings myself. But that shouldn’t be necessary when I paid that much money for them. Also considering the newer SDX’s do get the midi mapping right out-of-the-box. One notable exception is progressive foundry.
I think Toontrack should make updates available to address these issues. Considering the improvements made over the years, I think it would be fair if the older SDX’s should cost less than the SDX3 ones. I know sometimes Toontrack puts the “classic” SDX’s on discount, but I think this should be permanent.
