Very good guitar tone. That’s it. I’ve got to get an Axe FX.
    Awesome drum tone as well.
The only thing I heard – that I had to hear a second time – was a popping sound.
it started around the 00:36 mark – and lasted through the crash/ride part – till apprx 00:49
Couldn’t tell if it was my monitors or what.

and I feel like a douche for mentioning that – so I gotta apologize.

But the tune rawked … HARD!
Like I said – I must get me one of those units – they sound amazing.

    Many thanks WaterBoy!!!

Glad you liked the tones! The Axe Fx is a lifesaver when it comes to guitar tones! Its made recording that much better for me. I always struggled with the Podxt to get some tones that i was really happy with, but with the Axe Fx it takes no time at all to get a tone i can roll with.

I’m having a hard time deciding if i want to record songs with 2.0 or DFH at the moment. Maybe i haven’t given Metal Foundry a fair chance, but i can never find a snare from that library that i am totally content with. I’ll have to try again sometime soon.

Sorry about that popping sound. I’ll have to relisten to it to see if i can hear it.

Again, very glad you liked it and thanks for commenting!!!

Coryd: Have you uploaded that tone to the AxeChange?
I just found out that the AxeChange has been down … hopefully it will be up again soon!

    Many thanks guitarstackpro!

    WaterBoy,
I haven’t uploaded it to AxeChange. To be honest i have never used axechange before. I think there is a way to share presets with the editor, but i don’t use that either. If you get an Axe Fx and want it though i can send it to you?

Well, my friend … it just so happens that I am looking at my brand new Axe FX right now.

But – between finishing a new set of tutorial videos & trying to get help to finish my home studio, I haven’t had much time to play with it!
But I am soooo stoked about it!!!
And if you could share the preset – that would be awesome!!
    Take care

This sounded great. I love my Axe Fx too. And I’m really rediscovering the DFH library again lately. I agree with you on MF snares. It’s been a tough library for me in that dept. Would you mind sharing what Kit pieces you used here? Did you process in 2.0 or use external processing?

    Well done.

    Many thanks! Sure thing!
I used 2.0, but just load DFH in that. I used the Sonor Kick, Pearl Birch Snare, all Premier toms.
The only processing i used within 2.0 was to high pass the hats and the OH at around 600 hz.
I also gave all the toms a slight boost around 115, 9K and a slight cut at around 350. All the rest
of the processing i did within cubase. Mainly just eq and compression. If there is anything else i forgot
to answer let me know and i will be happy to explain. Many thanks again!

Waterboy: I still haven’t forgot about that preset haha! I’ll try to get it posted sometime this week.
I will say that i used a Redwirez IR. It was the Marshall 4X12 Vintage 30s with SM57 mic Cap Edge 5 in.
