I want to use some of the larger C&V Zildjian K Dark Crashes (19″ and 20″). some hits sound fine, some hits sound like a hard, high pitched tap with no swish. I hate the high pitched tap. I have heard these cymbals in my friend’s garage, on stage, etc.. and I never hear that terrible sound. It happens despite velocity value. Is there any way I can get consistent cymbal hits with these?
On the right of the GUI you can select the cymbal and above that you can turn off Random/humanization functions and you will get a nice consistent sound.
Thanks for replying Juicy. I’m guessing if I like the randomness on all other things, excluding cymbals, I’m out of luck eh? (Unless I have two instances in Logic which would be a PITA).
No, the Humanize features can be set per articulation.

Thats right plus As said just select/edit the whole cymbal or just the articulation of the (selected) cymbal. EZDrummer is the one where random is global so only on or off.
