Sorry if this has been answered before but, how do I add more decay to a cymbal hit so that it doesn’t ring out? I have a part of a song that breaks in the middle and I would like there to be nothing going on. The cymbals bleed out into the “quiet part” and I can’t seem to find out how to just cut the cymbals in superior. I already have a choke on the last cymbal but I’d like the background noise from previous cymbals to fade away quicker if possible so there’s very little noise there. Thanks in advance.
The easiest way to make everything quiet is to lower the mixer channel fader(s) in the DAW for Superior Drummer.
You’ll need to check your DAW’s manual, or Google, if you don’t know how to use automation for your DAW.
You can also accomplish this inside Superior Drummer 3, but I don’t know what version you are using 🙂
