Cymbal Chokes with Producer Presets

I’m trying to take the default Avatar Kit and apply the Steven Slate Preset “Lively” Each time I do the cymbal chokes no longer work.
I’m using a TD-4 Roland E-Kit. I have the module on it set to “Factory Defaults”. I’m running Logic 9, but the same thing happens in Toontrack solo.
Could someone explain the choke mapping procedure.

Select the Cymbals in the Construct window, set the Envelope to ON and to respond to Aftertouch. Adjust the Release Time to taste, probably between 80-200ms.
