Hi
When using My TD30 with Superior and Solo the cymbal chokes work when the initial kit is loaded but stop working when I load any combined preset. Ive tried manually activating the cymbal chokes but still doesn’t work. Any ideas?
Thanks
Hi,
which version number is displayed in the Superior 2 plugin interface?
Have you applied the Roland E-drums MIDI Preset after loading your Combined Preset?

I just tried both, the combined preset 1st then Roland Mapping and vice versa…It made no difference, as soon as the combined preset was loaded the cymbal chokes stopped working.
Are you using an EZX, then name of which start with ‘Metal’?
There are three of them and there was a bug in their presets
that shut off the cymbal mutes. This was fixed some time ago
and upgrading to the latest version should bring back the mutes.

No I’m just using the stock kits that ship with Superior…..it’s bugging me now.
Are these combined presets you apply factory presets of the Avatar SDX,
from some Producer Pack or presets of your own?

that is correct the combined preset for Avatar, for instance if I load the default preset everything works as it should, if I load any of the Toontrack combined presets ie. Avatar Natural the cymbals dont choke.
Mmm, I see the same behaviour myself.
When you load those preset, make sure you uncheck the ‘Envelope’
part of them.
I am not sure if this is a flaw in the Avatar presets or not. I will
see if I can figure that out. At least there is a way to avoid it.
