Customizing beats and grooves.

As someone whip prefers to come up with my own beats/grooves, how easy is it to change the timing and hits of preset grooves in EZD2 and is it possible to create new grooves from scratch?

The ‘play style’ and ‘Song Creator’ program works with 3rd party/user created grooves, but not the Tap to Groove feature.

How does the Song Creator work, but the Tap feature doesn’t for 3rd party? Surly they work on the same engine?
