Is the following correct behavior for Cubase (5.5.2) and EZPlayerPro (1.0.7)???
I want to import some Cubase MIDI-clips into EZPlayerPro, so that I can re-use them in other songs.
The manual only states (page 24) that:
SOME host applications will also allow you to drag MIDI sequences directly from their arrangement page and tracks to the EZPlayer pro’s Browser.
This raises a couple of questions:
Thanks for answering!
a very old topic but since I happen to read it, I will answer for the benefit of others (or yourself, if you happen to visit this forum regularly).
Why not explicitely mention this feature in the compatiblity matrix for all hosts?
because this goes beyond our capability to test and document without a large room for error. OS/DAW combination would make this impossible to collate and present in any practical fashion in any case.
Is this a EZPlayerPro or a Cubase issue?
this is a host issue. Or something at the OS level. Or a combination of the 2 in some cases. What it is not is within our control to address in any case.
Could you describe other ways to re-use some grooves that I’ve already got in some of my songs?
sure… double click ‘MY MIDIFILES’ and place your grooves there (they need to be GM or GMextended formatted’). This *may* work by drag and drop from your track to the Finder/Explorer, but again we can’t make any guarantee as this is host/OS specific.
The obvious other method is to manage mount points but you’ll have to export your MIDI to disk first, obviously.
