After reading some of the posts/threads, it is becoming a little daunting as to the whole process of the Cross Grade process.
Senario: Please correct me if this is not correct..
I have EZ drummer and want to move up to SD2.
I call my music vendor and make the purchase.
He sends me a serial# or what ever.
I go to my account in TT and register and then download the plug 2.2.1
I do the install and then authorize..
Now my EZ/Cocktail groves will show up in SD2
I wait for the disks from the vendor and then complete the install of all disks
Will the set of disks try to install SD2 again or is it clear/obvious as to the Sound disk install only..
I don’t think I will be using the EZ player or any of the additional installs. Do I have the choice at time of install..
I’m sorry if I seem a little cautious, but I’m trying to detour any possible install conflicts
and hopefully save you (TT, kind gentlemen) the aggravation of answering redundant questions..
Thanks,
Lou

Hi,
if you have the actual software installed, you would only need to run the Superior Sound Installer which is located on DVD 1. You shouldn’t need to re-authorize.
If you don’t wanna use EZplayer, don’t install it. Simple as that.
Let us know if you have any further questions.
…and, on a side note, please make sure your dealer actually are getting you the discs. There’s been some misunderstandings from their side as they think we will ship the discs. We don’t, unless you purchase at toontrack.com.
Thanks!

Hi Martin and thanks for clearing that up for me.
Oddly enough, I purchased from Musicians Friend, they didn’t give me the serial # for the download. Once the software arrives I will just do the initial install from my account (2.2.1) and then do the sound library as you suggested. (The disks are on their way)
Once S2 is up and running, is it necessary to keep EZ Drummer installed or would you suggest to just leave it on the HD?
Can it be deleted or will there be a problem with the EZ library?
Thanks again.

I suggest you just leave it if you don’t desperately need the disk space.
There are absolutely no compatibility problems, they can co-exist.
