Hey Folks
First of all, I am totally new to all of this music production stuff…
What I want is a Drum Computer Software, where I can create my own beats. When there are preset Drumbeats that I can use or start with, that’s totally cool, but in the end, I would like to rewrite them in any detail possible (“that snare hit gone, here a kick added and there this tom-fill…”). After reading some reviews and watching tutorials, I am still unsure which drum software is able to do that and how.
Do I need to write a midi-track in my DAW (for the moment I use ableton, but willing to change if necessary) and export it into the Drum Software? Or can I create such beats in the Drum Software itself and export them into the DAW? Is that even possible with the Drum Softwares of toontrack?
In the end I want to know 1. how I can create my very own (digital) drum-track to put it in my DAW-project, and 2. which Software I should buy to be able to do just that.
Thanks for your help and cheers
Matze
