First post, break out the big guns…
We use ezdrummer all the time to create clicks/grooves for folks, and additionally, over the years I’ve sampled the entire kits of the better kits/players that have come through our studio… This last one was the final straw… AMAZING sounding kit, 24×18 kick amd 14×8 wood snare that sounds beyond massive… Tons of heft. Anyway, I would like to use my samples to create expansion packs, or, at least kits that we can use here for various stuff… Is that possible? Also, it seems criminal to turn our samples (44.1/24) into 44.1/16… Is everything all limited to 16 bits?
Is this simply not something that ezdrummer, as a commercial application, is up to? Would one of the higher end apps (Superior) do what we’d like?

Download a copy of Shortcircuit and load your sample sets into that. You don’t get multi sample per velocity level and random smaple trigger like SD, but you could load in 127 samples of left-hand and 127 of right-hand playing for each articulation.
I used shortcircuit for drum replacement before I switched on to SD (and drumtracker). It’s a free download.
