Hello people.
When looking arround in the settings menu, i found a CPU Usage setting.
Now i Use Cubase and all other pluggins usually tells me to not set more then one core in the pluggin and let the Host DAW manage this..
looking in the Manual i could not find any information concerning this setting and would like to know how i should set this for use in Cubase 9.5 with a i7 cpu.

Hi,
I have it set to ‘1’ and do not experience any problems in my hosts. Setting it to higher numbers can get me errors in e.g. Reason 10.

9.3.3 Settings Window Performance Tab
We have no reports of problems using multi-core with Cubase as host.
John mentions Reason and Reason is the only host we know about, right now,
for which you cannot use multi-core in SD3 without first disabling it in the host.
Start out by running SD3 on 1 core only. If you experience glitches you
can try to raise it to 2 and see if that improves the situation. Ultimately you
are in control. You can use any value that works for you. What values those
are depend on the host, your hardware and the sort of projects you run.

Wow, thanks for tip John and Olle!!!
I’ve been struggling with SD3 in Reason 10 and just adjusted the CPU Core setting to “1” and all of my issues have vanished!
Just bringing SD3 into a Reason 10 project caused the glitches and CPU spikes and made the VST unusable. Had no issues in Reaper, so I knew it must be how Reason was handling the SD3 VST specifically.
Thanks again!
