Hi good morning. Hello my name is Javi, from Spain. I just purchased the SDX THE ROCK FOUNDRY. I have an edrum DRUMTEC brand with a ROLAND TD17 module. To expand my physical drum kit, on the rear AUX output, I have a splitter (for the crash 3 and floor tom 4 pads). When I connect the edrum to the laptop vía USB, it automatically recognizes all the pads and also assigns them the correct instruments. No problem, but however, when I hit the pads I mentioned above, it triggers a crash sound in both cases. I’ve tried the “learn” option, and even though I assign it a different instrument, it still sounds cymbal in both cases. It is as if by default that sound is assigned to both pads. What can it be due to? Is there any way to change de midi mapping?
Is a problem of the VST or the DAW?
Thanks a lot.
Javi.

Hi,
you need to check that the module sends separate notes for the two, otherwise it won’t work. If you get two separate notes, Learning or manually assigning the Floor Tom shouldn’t be a problem.
There is a ‘MIDI Monitor’ Property Box on the DRUMS page in SD3. Expand it and hit both pads to see which note numbers are received.

John
