I wonder if it might be considered in the SDII line (or any line for that matter) to add to the sticks, rods, brushes, etc. the sound of the drums being played with the other end of the brushes which is done pretty often and is a very distinctive sound.
I would add to that being able to put towels or some damping material over the drum heads which is NOT the same as EQing the drums to simulate that.
I’m currently working on a track that would be much improved by having both of these sounds in the arsenal.
There was drummer named Chico Hamilton who used to strike not only the drum heads but the rims, the stand, the stool-virtually anything and everything. If something along those lines were put you would have a giant fan already!
