I’ve created a drum track by DnD into Sonar PE. When I did this, the Velocity knob in EZD was set in the middle.
I would like to increase the Velocity in EZD for all (or just some) of the clips (grooves/fills) already in place in Sonar.
Is this possible? Or do I have to start all over with the Velocity knob turned up, then DnD into Sonar?
Thanks

The Velocity knob in EZD only affects MIDI before it is DnD’d into your host. I’m not sure about Sonar but in Cubase, there is a velocity control that will change the overall velocity of the MIDI track, so the MIDI velocity can be altered after DnDing into the host.

The change in timbre of the drums, from increasing the Velocity knob in EZD, can not be achieved by changing the MIDI velocity in the DAW-correct? If so, I think I’ll have to change my procedure in recording.
I started this project with grooves from EZD first, then started to add instrument tracks. A better approach may be to just put a basic drum track down then record other parts; then replace the previous, basic drum track, with one I can hear in the mix and could adjust the Velocity knob, as well as panning, mikes etc. as needed.
