    Hi,

    for EZdrummer 2 users, it’s pretty easy, like described in this FAQ:
    https://www.toontrack.com/faq/how-do-i-move-the-sounds-for-ezdrummer-2/

    For EZdrummer 1 users (which I suspect you are?), it’s not as easy. You have to uninstall EZdrummer 1, your EZX:s and Toontrack MIDI first. If you have Superior 2 or EZplayer Pro installed, you also need to uninstall these plugins (not sounds) and then in SD3 go to Settings > Libraries scroll down to Edit the Additional Libraries location to your external drive or;
    you reinstall EZdrummer 1 (or Superior 2/EZplayer Pro) and pay extra attention during the installation process because you will want to perform a Custom install and edit the ‘EZHOME’ location where your Toontrack MIDI and EZX:s will be installed subsequently.

    John

    Thank you John, I will try it. The only Instrument I use on the new laptop is SD3, but I like the sounds from EZ1 und SD2 as well.

    Once again thank you, as ist works fine! A was able to install all sounds on my extern harddisk!

    One question. As I do not use EZ1, what happens when I uninstall it. do I loose the Installation path then?

    Thank You and BR

    No,

    the set path for your EZHOME repository should stay with your system.

    Here’s an idea – let us choose the install path when we install, so we don’t have to clog up an SSD system drive and then move files. I’ve seen rank amateur programs allow install location choice – it is amazing to me that a “professional” program doesn’t have that option!

    I just purchased Superior Drummer 3 Orchestra. The program downloaded fine and I’m able to open it. I’m now trying to download the Libraries to an external drive due to the size of the Libraries. When I try to change the path, I receive this error message: “The path could not be set. The selected folder is not a valid installation of Superior Drummer 3 library.” It gives me this error message on any drive I try except the Mac HD which give me the message “not enough space.” What must I do to download my libraries? Thanks.                                                                                                                                                                                        Ken Page

    I am also having the same issue on PC. All I want to do is change the name of a folder and link the SD3 file path to it!

    Hi,

    since this is a very old thread with different questions and possibly contains dated information, I would like you to elaborate on ‘the same issue on PC. All I want to do is change the name of a folder and link the SD3 file path to it!’
