    Hi Robert,

I just tried downloading and installing a few EZkeys MIDI updates and they worked fine here on my MBP OS 11.6.1.

Could you please delete those downloaded installer files, close the PM and reboot, then start the PM again and re-download the installers?

    BR,
    John

    Hey John;

thanks for the response – followed your instructions and ended up with the exact same result. The MIDI packs in question are:

    Ballads EZKeys MIDI

    Ballads 2 EZKeys MIDI

    Boogie EZKeys MIDI

    Shuffles EZKeys MIDI

Everything else installed perfectly and seems to be running fine.

    Cheers,

    Robert

CFErrorDomainLaunchd error 2 is usually caused by bad file permissions. The following Terminal command will fix most possible causes:

    sudo sh -c "mkdir /Library/LaunchDaemons; chown root:wheel /Library/LaunchDaemons /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.toontrack.installer.helper.plist /Library/PrivilegedHelperTools /Library/PrivilegedHelperTools/com.toontrack.installer.helper; chmod u=rw,go=r /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.toontrack.installer.helper.plist; chmod u=rx,go=r /Library/PrivilegedHelperTools/com.toontrack.installer.helper; launchctl enable system/com.toontrack.installer.helper"

Copy all of that text, open Applications > Utilities > Terminal, paste and hit Enter. You’ll be prompted for a password. Type your computer/admin password, which will be invisible, and hit Enter again. Then try the installer.

Updated all my Toontrack software through Product Manager – everything worked fine, except I cannot install any EZKeys MIDI updates. They fail with this error message:

A required helper tool could not be installed.

The operation couldn’t be completed. (CFErrorDomainLaunchd error 2.)

Toontrack Product Manager Version 1.1.1 (26844)

    Please advise – thank you

    I got the same error

Error 2 is usually automatically fixed by the latest installer which is used if you install from the Product Manager. Which product/update, by the way, you have none registered?
