Wondering if anyone has pieced together a preset / kit for SD3 to approach Carter’s kit from DMB? I have gathered snapshots of his kit from some magazines and interviews with his tech. I can add to the post shortly.
I guess we can get the main kit close with the Yamaha kit included with SD3. Having trouble piecing together the extensive cymbals that Carter uses. As a non-drummer, I’m not really sure which A/K/etc. cymbals would be acceptable substitutions to get close to capturing his sound.
Next would be I guess stripping back the mix to provide something moderately dry. Of course his sound has evolved over the years from the really bouncy snare on Red Rocks to my favorite on BTCS and the more recent rock heavy production of DMB.
I think this would be really cool if anyone can help / collaborate. Thanks!
