I’m sure this is an easy one, but I can’t figure it out…
I am using the 10 day demo of EZ Drummer 2. I think it’s going to work well for me, but I’d like to use it with Reaper.
The instructions on the Toontrack site says:
2) Inserting the plug-in:
• Open the Reaper’s FX Browser (click on Track FX icon).
• Click on VSTi tab and drag EZDrummer 2 to the track FX icon.
I can click on the VSTi tab, but it’s unclear how to “drag EZDRummer2 to the trackFX icon.”
Can someone explain in a little more detail how I can do this.
OR, if this is a limitation in the demo version, please let me know, so I can stop trying to figure it out.
Thanks!

Hi,
if there’s no particular reason for having both a 32-bit and 64-bit version of your host (Reaper) on your system, I would recommend just running the 64-bit.
Have you checked that the 64-bit EZdrummer 2 Standalone application runs as expected?
The Default location of the 64-bit .dll plug-in file would be in the ‘C:\Program Files\VstPlugins\Toontrack\’ folder.
If you are unsure, launch the standalone, open its Help menu and choose Show Plug-In Path. The path displayed (minus the last part, the dll name) is the path that your host application will need to know about.
If you have installed both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of EZdrummer 2, please make sure that you have not pointed your host to both.
When you have made certain EZdrummer 2 standalone works and the path to the 64-bit .dll file is correct in your host, you can ‘Re-scan’ the VST’s.

John

Please help, I can’t load ez keys or ez drummer as plugin in reaper. I have followed previous advice including re installing without 32bit version from forum but they will not show up in Reaper. I did manage to install the ezbass and Audio sender. Will I need to find a more compatible Daw? If so please recommend one.
Thanks in advance,
Matt
When doing re scan for plugin which of the 3 options should I use?
Re scan for new modified
re scan skip new modified or clear cache and rescan?
I would clear cache and rescan. Funny, that’s not what it looks like in my Reaper Preferences but I’m on Mac and perhaps you are using Windows.
If you need further help, could I ask you to please start a topic in the EZdrummer Help section, since this is pre-sales.
BR,
John

Hello,
I did manage toi get it working and it is running smoothly. Thank you for your help and support!.
Sincerely, James Reeves
Same problem for me would love to be directed to some kind of tutorial to fix this problem. I can record tracks in stand-alone and drag them in then record mp3s etc. But I want to record all separate tracks from different drum kits etc. When I try to “Add Virtual Instrument” there is no “EZ Drummer” anywhere and I have tried everything I read above
