Please help! I just got the DFH EZX but it won’t install.
I have the EZD 1.2.1 installed, both the 32 and 64 bit versions (I use Sonar 8.5.3 Producer in 64 bit mode on Win 7 64 bit).
I brought up EZD in Toontrack Solo and verified it plays. When I run the DFH installer (EZX DrumkitFromHell Update.exe), here is the error:
Never mind – I was installing the UPDATE before I had the full EZX installed. Stoopid me.
HP e9120y PC w/ AMD Phenom II X4 910 (Quad Core) running at 2.6 GHz, 8G RAM, 7200 RPM 500G recording drive, 5400 RPM 1T OS, Applications & Backup drive, Windows 7 64 Bit, Sonar Producer 8.5.3 64 Bit, PreSonus Project (FireWire) 10 Channel I/O
It looks like you are trying to install the update before installing the full product installer.
Please download the full DFH EZX installer from your Toontrack account.
See the pic below. It is a pic of the EZD full download installer button but the DFH EZX button looks the same.

Thanks Scott. I realized that earlier . The full product is still downloading – it’s huge! I can’t wait. I’ve been wanting this for a long time.

I got it up and running, both the DFH and the update. I like it.
This is the first EZX I’ve purchased and I have to say I was a bit surprised that you can’t mix the individual drums from the different kits (I never noticed it with the stock and cocktail kits because I don’t use the cocktail kit).
I’m sure the DFH has everything I need but why can’t the kits be inter-mixed?

In EZdrummer they can’t. Each EZX has very different setups in regards to drums/instruments, microphones and FX channels. This also reflects on bleed management, etc.
Kit pieces from different EZX:s can be mixed with the use of X-drums in Superior 2, since you can edit the microphone assignments and individual bleeds in that product.
