Just bought The Metal Foundry and Superior drummer 2.0. I used to use Drumkit from hell and I was pretty satisfied with the drum sound there. But with the Metal Foundry I can’t seem to get a sound even similiar to that =/ I’m probably doing something wrong though, at least I hope so …
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1MUN2uyvMoE this is how my drums used to sound, can the metal foundry do something like that or did I just waste a lot of money? 😛
Metal… rest assured that SD samples can be mixed to sound good. Are you familiar with mixing drums?

Hm okay. I haven’t done anything professional, just stuff like in the youtube link above. All the presets in metal foundry sounds like 80’s death metal to me, but I prefer a more cleaner sound on them, like the drums in The Powerless Rise by AILD or Scream aim fire by bfmv. I would really appreciate it if you or someone could tell me if it’s possible to make the metal foundry drums sound similiar to that, and what I should learn to achieve it.. Like, compression outside of Superior drummer or stuff within the program.
If you haven’t done so already, check out the Andy Sneap presets page and see if those sounds appeal to you. If so, you’re golden.
