I am not wasting all that money if I can’t get EZD2 to work with my drums. The demo is sure not working. I plugged in the drums with a USB cable and the software does say there is an Alesis option in that set up menu but I tap a pad with my stick and nothing happens with the software.
I really dislike the sounds on the DM7X module and was hoping that this software would help. I did download some sort of ASIO thing but the latency is still really high. I am using a desktop computer not a laptop is that a factor? There are no videos on youtube that are helpful or of this drum model or they are very old videos which I don’t think are very helpful.
Thank You for any help.
Hi,
make sure you tick the checkbox for the Alesis MIDI Interface in Audio/MIDI Setup.

I am also currently looking to buy the Alesis Nitro set to use in my studio to trigger Superior Drummer in my Pro Tools. Do you know if this will work?

Hi Sec01,
do you have the DM7X connected via USB? Which OS are you on? Did you check out the Alesis Drummer Forum?

I am connected via the USB and I am on Windows 11. On my lap top I can see the triggers on a second set of Artist drum set. But no sound, just the normal module sound of the Artist kit. I have tried going from the headphone jack of the laptop to the amp, but that does not work. Tried naturally going from the kit to the amp, just the normal sounds. Any advice?
