Can EZ Drummer 2 be used in a live situation as a drum machine for a solo act?
Can it be stop, started, fills, etc.. via midi control?
You can start and stop the time line with a MIDI controller using MIDI learn, but you can’t play different MIDI blocks on the song track or in the browser by using the MIDI controller. It wasn’t designed for that kind of live usage.
You can, however, create a project in a DAW that supports these features (I think that Ableton Live for example handles it pretty well) and trigger EZdrummer 2 from that.

EZplayer Pro was originally designed to to work as a live drum machine in that way
but we took new aim during development so I am not sure the released product
would be adequate for that use. It is the closes thing we have at least.
It carries no sounds by itself but sends out MIDI to feed to other instruments,
e.g. EZdrummer 2.
