I really prefer the look and feel of EZmix 1 that I still use and I wonder why it was changed that drastically in EZmix 2…
What I like more about EZmix 1:
– The fonts are way better to read (better contrast, smoother and bigger).
– The window is smaller
– Nicer (more friendly) colors
– The Faders are easier to use and you can better see the dialed in values (and there is a scale on the Gain fader)
– It is easier to see what effects a preset uses. I really prefer a simple list over that “fancy” GUI where I have to look all over the place which effect is enabled…
So all in all EZmix 1 is way easier (to use and on the eyes) than EZmix 2 in my opinion, since the design of EZmix 1 is simple and clear without any unnecessary bells and whistles.
(But since the upgrade will no longer be available in the future I’m kind of forced to upgrade now to be prepared for the future… *sigh*. Not sure though… maybe I just keep working with EZmix 1 and don’t upgrade…)
So my request is to bring back the GUI of EZmix 1. (And add input gain and the level meters.)
Probably best to make it an option so users who prefer the new GUI won’t complain.
Here’s the previous look by the way…
Thanks for listening!
The shape and blend button in EZM1 could mean a lot of different things, and the text window with info made it all look like a prototype. This has been improved in EZM2. However, I would prefer faders to knobs. And I would prefer textbased compressor, amp, tape etc. with an on/off light to the toyshop that is now in EZM2.
