Suggestions for new drum tracker.
1. Being able to hear 2 tracks a time to reference while tracking one would be good.
eg, hearing an overhead while tracking the snare would be good.
2. Having load times while changing between tracks faster. I spend more time waiting for a track to load than working on the actual track.
I consider my self very proficiant with DT, to the point that now when I track drums I mic up for the attack rather than the tone with the intention converting kick snare & toms and keeping the over heads live, this works very well.
Another suggestion would be a reverb plugin so users live me can add a ‘room verb’ to match the live overheads with the sampled ‘traps’. (I track in a very dead room).
