I’m gonna ask a silly question – please don’t take offense to it.
But when you auditioned the Groove – was it at a different Tempo than the song you are creating?
    Thanks

    No offense taken at all!
The groove was in the same ballpark. All midi at this stage. Grooves templates will follow the tempo of the song. I am not sure if i understand your question correctly? This is not a problem of timing being off, it is more about how I perceive the groove in the song context.

The more I write the more stupid I feel, lol.

Hmm, maybe I’ll create a clip so you can hear what I mean.

Actually – I may have misunderstood something.
For whatever reason – I just assumed that you were Auditioning Grooves via the Groove Player within Superior.
with that said – I was referring to the Metronome button near the Play button within the Groove player.
If you have the Metronome button engaged, the groove will play at it’s original tempo … which may be a few BPM’s off from your tune.
    Thanks

I’m not sure what you’re talking about either – but moving kick or snare beats (or bass guitar notes) a little before or after the beat will certainly make the timing feel different. That’s what *real* musicians do (whether consciously or subconsciously) – and that’s how they played in the old days ie with real instruments before there were MIDI files

Yeah, tiari, please explain a bit more, or offer up some clips. I certainly believe you when you say you’re having a problem, I just want us to be able to help you.

FWIW, I have never experienced the kind of thing you’re talking about. I would imagine it would be maddening.

Also, please give us more details on your system: machine specs, OS, DAW host and version, SD2 version, etc.
