Hi all. New to EZD2. I have a Roland TD-25KV. Everything works great! EXCEPT that I can’t work out why EZD says a China 1 corresponds to MIDI key 27 but my Roland triggers a completely different sound when I set the cymbal pad I want to use key 27. I’m sure I’m fundamentally misunderstanding something.
What I want to achieve is to have the ride of one of my cymbals trigger a china crash, but let the bell etc of the cymbal trigger a normal ride cymbal. I can’t work out how to do it.
I know Superior Drummer lets you re-map in the software, but sure I should be able to tell my TD-25 to just send the correct instruction to trigger a china or splash etc?
Any help appreciated!
Thor, I managed to solve my issue by hitting each cymbal or drum, looking at which cymbal or drum animated on the EZD interface, and then assigning my preferred cymbal within the software.
As for the delay, I use a USB-to-USB connection to my Mac. I have the buffer size set to the smallest number possible in the EZD MIDI settings. This gives me so little delay and latency that I can play as if I was using the Roland’s built-in samples.
