I am hoping someone else has dealt with this issue before and can either direct me to some docs or tell me what the possibilities are.
I have Superior, EZkeys, EZdrummer 2 and EZDrummer lite which I run in Pro Tools. I have been using Presonus Studio One with the intent of moving to it at a later date once I have learned enough to get around and feel comfortable.
Is it possible to move these plugins over to my Studio One installation and would it be as simple as leaving the iLok plugged in and just re-installing? I have a TDM system and I note with many installers along with the TDM versions there are Audio Unit as well as VST versions. Currently I have Studio One on my laptop and Pro Tools on my workstation.
If anyone can help with any info I’d really appreciate it.
Thanks!
John
Hi,
Toontrack software does not require an iLok, it uses a challenge/response type of Authorization.
Installers on Mac contain all supported formats and they install to the correct locations.
Just download the latest versions from your Toontrack account (with the exception of your Superior 2 Sound Libraries) and install on your new computer.

Hi John,
Thanks for the response. First I should say “Doh!! I knew that!!” I am so iLok centric that it didn’t even occur to me. I guess the real question is: How many installs do I have because Pro Tools is on a Tower and I am starting to work a lot more on my laptop. So will Toontrack allow me to authorize a second install on an additional CPU. (Keeping in mind that I am only able to use one computer at a time and when I have moved all my sessions over from Pro Tools I likely won’t need it).
Here’s the funny part. Maybe you can answer this question? I have a license for PS1 v.1 but the original installer was screwy and installed everything all over the place. After several rounds of support with Presonus I got the system working with a different installer they provided however it didn’t install the 3rd party stuff correct. Then TV season started and I had to roll with my Pro Tools rig so I didn’t figure it out until I finally got time to do some tutorials again and by then they had released the next version. Adding to the frustration the version I got was already old so out came S1 v.2 then S1 v.3 they tell me there’s nothing I can do and I should just buy an upgrade.
So John if I could prove to Toontrack that I have a fully licensed version and I am the owner would they honor the license?
So I am trying to recall if Superior needed the iLok as well or were you thinking I was using the software on the same CPU?
I hope this post is coherent.

Well, I am not sure I understand. When it comes to your Toontrack products, I can see them in your Toontrack account; EZdrummer 2, EZkeys, Superior 2, etc.
They do not need any further proof of purchase and can be downloaded at any time (with the exception of the Superior 2 sound libraries, as I wrote earlier) for both PC and Mac.
None of them need iLoks at all and you can have 2 active Authorized computers running at the same time.
Toontrack does not have anything to do with Presonus products, so if you are asking if we could assist fixing something with Studio One licenses and/or installers, the answer is no, I’m afraid.
