Is there some way that ezdrummer 2 can be setup to allow “auto-drum” fills?
What I want to do is use ezdrummer 2 in a live situation, using one of the main patterns, and having it throw in random realistic 1/2 or full measure drum fills here and there, at the end of let’s say every 8 bars, 16 bars, etc.
I understand I can program ezdrummer 2 in a daw for instance with fixed fills and such at specific points but I want something that’s more free-form as I explained above. Seem like it should be an easy thing to do/would be an easy feature to program into ezdrummer 2 but in everything I’ve read so far about ezdrummer 2, it seems like this can’t be done but I’m hoping there’s an option for this that I missed.
Thanks for any input.
Hi,
if I understand your question correctly, I’d say it’s something more for Ableton Live or if you used EZplayer Pro with Loop Layers. Not possible with EZdrummer 2 only.

Bummer. Seems like with all the “random intelligence” features already built into ezdrummer 2 like the “amount” and “velocity”, it would be an easy feature to add some “random fill” feature.
Perhaps a feature in a future upgrade Toontrack? I’d buy your product in a second if it had such a feature. I also think it would have wide appeal for people, for example, those of us who just want to jam with a loop with realistic random fills and hits instead of programming all the fills in a fixed fashion all the time.
